Communications Specialist

We are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team. This individual will work with leadership and various teams to create, execute, and manage all communications to effectively inform and build engagement among our independent stylist community and clients.

Core Responsibilities:
• Create client and stylist facing communications for channels such as email, social media, texting, internal platforms, and SEO
• Edit, proofread, format, and schedule all communications to ensure topic and writing style are on brand.
• Manage and maintain HubSpot account --- responsible for working with additional departments to ensure that best practices are implemented, and create/update processes as needed; assist with new user training & setup
• Assist other departments with their communication efforts and make recommendations to make sure that all initiatives are executed in the most effective way
• Lead assigned projects and work cross-departmentally to see projects to completion
• Provide weekly/monthly reporting on various communication channel performance - report recommendations and summaries to leadership team
• Perform other projects and related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Strong writing ability both in creative and informative communication
• Familiarity with best SEO practices when creating copy for emails and websites
• Motivated, self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with little supervision; able to successfully work independently on projects
• Ability to work with a variety of business stakeholders, both internal and external
• Able to prioritize varying demands and effectively work on multiple projects and meet deadlines

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related field
• 2 years of professional writing experience with the ability to provide samples of work
• Experience with HubSpot and Word Press
• Experience with Sprout would be a plus but not required
• Intermediate Excel skills would be a plus
