Director of Training

We are looking for:

We are looking for Director of Training to join our team. The Director of Training is responsible for creating and leading the strategy and execution of the Company’s training focused on developing and ensuring the success of J.Hilburn’s independent Stylists. Stylist’s success is measured by increasing personal sales, team building through recruiting new Stylists, onboarding new Stylists successfully, increasing team sales, and Stylist Rank Advancement in the Stylist Career Plan.

This role will oversee the execution of the training strategy, delivery of training, measure program effectiveness, and monitor results to ensure our independent Stylists in the field have the knowledge and skills to grow their sales and ensure a positive J. Hilburn experience for each Client. This individual will need to interact effectively with the Company’s management, product development, sales, marketing, and technology teams internally and our independent Stylists in the field.

Responsibilities:
Assess knowledge gaps of Stylists and Leaders to drive training initiatives.
Lead and develop training content and materials working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Sales, Recruiting, Leadership, Product, Marketing, Fit, Stylist Care, and Technology.
Direct, coach, support, and delegate appropriately to develop training content.
Develop trainings across all channels.
Work with Company employees and independent Stylists who are SMEs to develop training content.
Identify field leaders who are SMEs to deliver field training where appropriate such as, product, sales, leadership, recruiting, and new Stylist training.
Deliver and record training when required.
Support online training, experience working with an LMS.
Lead a team of trained Stylist Ambassadors who deliver some training content.
Develop annual field sales training calendar.
Participate in the planning and delivery of content at the Company’s Annual Summit and Basecamp sales meetings.
Meet financial objectives by forecasting training requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Contribute to additional team and company initiatives as needed/assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required, concentration in HR management, business management, communications, or education preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in having built and implemented sales training programs and teams in high growth environments
Experience with multi-channel distribution
Experience with Partner Training initiatives desirable
Strong Microsoft Office skills in all areas (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Creativity and innovation in formulating training programs
Familiarity with various trends in training and learning technology
Excellent management and organizational skills
Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills

Travel: Some travel is anticipated for this position
