Manager of Marketing and Communication

We are looking for:

Job Summary

The primary responsibility for the Manager of Marketing and Communication is development and execution of strategic marketing programs in coordination with the Director of Marketing and Communication. This individual has a clear vision of the marketing objectives and strategies and directs the implementation of supporting tactics across the company.

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team.
• Works with Director to set strategic direction for key marketing programs.
• Assist in the planning, management and execution of all existing marketing and messaging campaigns across multiple channels online, direct mail and email.
• Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.
• Manage tactical programs such as campaigns, events, etc.
• Manage J.Hilburn’s digital marketing channels.
• Partners directly with creative and technology partners to outline marketing asset needs/deliverables and sets timeline expectations.
• Key liaison for national and local PR program management.
• Timely communication to cross-functional partners of marketing programs, updates and launches (with direct report peer group).
• Stays abreast of evolution and emergence of like / competitive brands across the menswear apparel market and provide recommendations to maintain our advantage.
• Approve invoices against approved budgeted items and submit for payment. Identify any month end accruals for outstanding invoices.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong understanding of key marketing programs and disciplines in a multi-channel consumer business
• Knowledge of marketing program planning, analysis and measurement (Google Analytics, media measurement, promotions management)
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional resources across all levels to support / drive marketing program execution
• Ability to develop strong relationships with vendor partners and negotiate on behalf of the brand for ongoing cost efficiencies
• Understanding of changing marketing technologies, industry trends and competitive evolution
• Ability to curate ideas, influence outcomes and report results / recommendations
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a team player
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, very team oriented
• Ability to effectively communicate with various business stakeholders, both internal and external
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to prioritize varying demands and effectively multi-task to meet deadlines
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required
• 5+ years in a multi-channel marketing role with key responsibility or involvement in media planning, DTC and / or field sales support and PR
• Strong understanding of core e-commerce and CRM KPI’s, data & analytics.
• Experience operating in Google Analytics or similar analytics platform
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Klaviyo preferred
• Experience supervising and professional development of others

Travel:
Up to 30% travel
