Accounting Analyst
We are looking for:
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Analyst will be responsible for preparing GL account reconciliations, accurate reporting and data verification to enable management to analyze options and make financial decisions. The Accounting Analyst will monitor policies and procedures and identify and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures.
***This position is onsite 4 days/week (Monday through Thursday), remote on Fridays, located at 883 Trinity Drive, Lewisville, TX.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Process accounts payable to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice and payment
Support timely monthly and year-end financial close including assigned journal entries, various account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of accounts
Perform GL accounts reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, report, identify and correct any errors
Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
Report, analyze and track expenses versus annual budget
Create, analyze and report timely and accurate financial information for various internal departmental reporting, including variance analysis
Prepare documentation for financial and tax audits
Develop ad hoc analysis and other incidental reporting as requested

Must possess a high attention to detail and ability to review work for accuracy
Must be self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work efficiently
Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people both internally and externally and at many levels (executives, coworkers, vendors, stylists)
Enjoys a hands-on, proactive approach with desire to work in a dynamic environment that requires an understanding of all functional areas

Strong organization and time management skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
2 + years of relevant work experience preferred
Exposure to retail industry concepts and business practices preferred
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficiency in using accounting systems; NetSuite required
Experience with data analytics tools: Tableau preferred
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including but not limited to pivot tables, VLOOKUP, If-Then
Travel
Anticipated travel required for this position is minimal.
